Experience at every stage

Kitchen tiling that works with the whole installation

Kitchen tiling needs to be practical, easy to maintain and carefully coordinated with units, worktops and appliances. Splashbacks are normally completed after the principal kitchen elements are in position, while floor tiling may take place before or after units depending on the project.

For walls, we install metro tiles, mosaics, herringbone patterns, decorative tiles and large-format products. The setting out is planned around sockets, corners, cooker hoods and window reveals to keep the visual lines clean.

For floors, we assess the substrate and advise on levelling, backer boards, primers or decoupling membranes where required. Porcelain, ceramic, quarry, patterned and wood-effect tiles can all provide a hard-wearing surface for busy kitchens.

Useful answers

Frequently asked questions

When should the splashback be tiled?

Usually after the units and worktops are installed, allowing the tiles to be accurately finished to the completed kitchen.

Can you install herringbone tiles?

Yes. Herringbone and other patterned layouts require additional planning and careful alignment, which we agree before work begins.

Should flooring go beneath kitchen units?

It depends on the installation and tile specification. We can discuss the practical options with you or your kitchen fitter.
